This Saturday, July 27th, is the Whatcom County Old Settlers Association‘s 128th Pioneer Days Celebration Grand Parade! The parade begins at 11:00 a.m. with the route going through Downtown Ferndale. Please plan alternate routes in and out of the City between 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., avoiding Main Street and Ferndale Road. Alternate routes include Imhoff Road to Slater Road or using the Thornton Overpass.
Please note, there will be no parking between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. at the following locations on Saturday, July 27th:
- No parking along Shuksan Street
- Golden Eagle Drive between Washington Street and Shuksan Street
- Washington Street between Golden Eagle Drive and Third Avenue
- Third Avenue between Washington Street and Main Street
- No parking on Main Street between Third Avenue and First Avenue (Main Street will be closed between Fourth Avenue and Hovander Road)
- First Avenue between Main Street and Cherry Street
- Cherry Street between First Avenue and Second Avenue
- No parking along Ferndale Road for all of Friday and Saturday (drivers can use Ferndale Road from the South to get to overflow parking on the South side of the P-66 Complex)

We surely don’t want any cars towed. Main St. bridge coming into downtown Ferndale, Portal Way and Washington St. Main and 3rd Ave will not be accessible.
