Wednesday, April 15, 2020 Council Committees Information

The regularly scheduled Finance & Administration Committee meeting on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 will be held remotely via Microsoft Teams, with staff and Councilmembers accessing the meeting from individual locations. This complies with Governor Jay Inslee’s Stay at Home Order, which states, in part, that people should refrain from all public gatherings, including civic activities.

This is still an open public meeting as defined by the Open Public Meetings Act. The City will be using Microsoft Teams to livestream the meeting. Members of the public do not need to download anything to view the proceedings. The Finance & Administration Committee meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m.  The Public Works & Utilities and Planning & Land Use Committee meetings are cancelled.

Monday, April 6, 2020 City Council Meeting Information

The regularly scheduled City Council meeting on Monday, April 6, 2020 will be held remotely via Microsoft Teams, with staff and Councilmembers accessing the meeting from individual locations. This complies with Governor Jay Inslee’s Stay at Home Order, which states, in part, that people should refrain from all public gatherings, including civic activities.

This is still an open public meeting as defined by the Open Public Meetings Act. The City will be using Microsoft Teams to livestream the council meeting. The public comment session at the opening of the meeting has been cancelled until further notice. NOTICE OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE FERNDALE CITY COUNCIL

Notice is hereby given that the Ferndale City Council will hold a special meeting for the purpose of holding a financial workshop on the topic of debt. The meeting will take place on March 16, 2020 at the City of Ferndale Council Chambers, located at 5694 Second Avenue. The meeting will begin at 5:00 p.m. This is an open public meeting as outlined by the Open Public Meetings Act.

Notice is hereby given that the Ferndale City Council will hold a special meeting for the purpose of discussing the Ferndale Comprehensive Plan. The meeting will take place on February 18, 2020 at the City of Ferndale Council Chambers, located at 5694 Second Avenue. The meeting will begin at 5:00 p.m. This is an open public meeting as outlined by the Open Public Meetings Act, and members of the public are invited to attend and observe.

Special Meeting Notice – Council Retreat

Notice is hereby given that the Ferndale City Council will hold two special meetings for the purpose of a Council Retreat.  The first meeting will be on January 15, 2020 at the Ferndale Library Large Conference Room, located at 2125 Main Street. The second meeting will be on January 22, 2020 at the Ferndale Police Station Emergency Operations Center, located at 2220 Main Street. Both meetings will begin at 8:30 a.m. These are open public meetings as outlined by the Open Public Meetings Act, and members of the public are invited to attend and observe.

Planning Commission & Arts Commission Vacancies



The City has a number of Boards and Commissions that work to advise the council on a broad array of subjects. These are volunteer positions but absolutely essential to providing quality input to the city decision making process.
